ANNE M. MARCHETTA, MSW, Executive Director

Anne Marchetta has worked in the field of community-based elder services for more than 30 years, including the past 20 years as Executive Director of The Community Family. With The Community Family, her accomplishments include overseeing the acquisition of the Dutton Center, the construction of new buildings at the Lowell and Everett locations, and the major renovations in Medford. She has steered TCF through a very tenuous time in the adult day health industry while maintaining a stable, fiscally sound organization. She is currently spearheading TCF’s strategic planning efforts in preparation for the myriad changes that are looming in healthcare. Anne is also very active in advocacy activities on local and state levels pertaining to her field of work. This includes testifying at legislative hearings, inviting legislators to the centers and preparing written testimony on issues affecting elder care. She is the former president of the Massachusetts Adult Day Service Association and a former adjunct faculty member at Boston College’s Graduate School of Social Work, where she received her own Master’s Degree.

MARION DUNN, RN, Program Director, Everett Center
Marion has worked as a nurse at The Everett Center for 17 years, including the past 13 years as Program Director. She helped oversee the seamless - and exciting - move to the current Everett center location in 2010 and has kept the center busy, active and vibrant in the years since. Marion has an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare system, including geriatric, rehab and community-based services. She was a Staff Nurse and Nurse Manager at TCF before her promotion to Program Director. Her previous experience includes as an OR nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

SUSAN KELLY, RN, Program Director, Medford Center
Susan has worked at the Medford Center for 14 years. She served as staff nurse for five years until assuming leadership as Program Director in 2011. Previously, she spent many years working at Sancta Maria skilled nursing facility and Youville Hospital. Susan is a long-time resident of Medford and has a wonderful understanding and rapport with the participants at the Medford Center.

HEATHER BETTY, BA, Service Coordinator/Special Projects
Heather has worked at The Community Family since October 2012. She began working at TCF’s Lowell center as the Service Coordinator, then moved into the role of Program Director in January 2014. With the Lowell center’s closure in August 2020, Heather has been spending her time working as Service Coordinator for the Medford center, and has also begun taking on other special projects for the organization.

SUSAN MORTON, R.N. Program Director, Dutton Center
Susan has worked at the Dutton Center for 20 years, including 11 years as Assistant Director before becoming Program Director in 2011. She has been employed at the Dutton through most of MelroseWakefield Healthcare's ownership and has expertly guided the center through its smooth transition to The Community Family. Susan has been an RN for 36 years, including time spent in Neuro-psych, Rehab, as a Certified Oncology Nurse and as a Visiting Nurse. Her extensive nursing background has enabled her to provide top-notch care to the hundreds of clients she has served over the years at the Dutton center.

What People say

"I live in elderly housing, but I was going crazy just sitting all day. I don’t know what I would do without The Community Family’s Everett Center. The people, the staff, the company . . . it gives me something to do and keeps me happy."

"Adults with Alzheimer's Disease or other memory impairment have a much better chance of retaining their skills if they use them. I recommend The Community Family because it gets elders out of the house and maintains their skills - and because they enjoy it."
