The Community Family, a non-profit organization, has been a leader in the field of adult day health services for more than 30 years. We pioneered specialized adult day health services for those with memory loss and opened the first such program in Massachusetts.

The Community Family opened its first center, The Everett Center, in 1978 to serve older adults with chronic medical conditions. Three years later, we opened the Medford Center to provide specialized care for those with memory loss. The Community Family opened its third center, The Lowell Center, as part of a national Robert Wood Johnson Foundation program to demonstrate the efficacy of day programs for those with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

The Community Family continues to operate three thriving adult day health centers:

The Everett Center offers a traditional adult day health program for elders and disabled adults.

The Buddy Coholan Memory Loss Center offers a memory loss adult day health program

The Lowell Center offers both a traditional adult day health program and a memory loss program.
